BotChief License and Update System Guide

If you have a developer version of BotChief Editor, you have access to the License and Update system.

1. I wrote a small module that displays a message "Hello!".

2. Select Developer Tools - Compile Module.

3. Import the required module.

4. Go to the Software Settings section and specify the compile parameters. To connect the licensed system, check the box Add License. Now we need to get Software Identify Code. Where to get it?

Note: you need an archive to update, so choose the option Output path - Output a zip file.

It is important! If you are compiling a module for updating, uncheck the checkbox Integrate Browser PackageFiles, even if it was enabled. This will reduce the size of the archive from 35 to 8 megabytes. The smaller the file size, the easier it is to upload it to the server, and the faster it will be downloaded by your users.

Now upload the update!

1. Specify the same application Identify Code.

2. Select the file with the archive on disk.

3. Click the Upload button.

Now you need to wait a bit until the update is loaded.

Be sure to check that the upload to the server is correct by clicking on the Check MD5 button.
